NCAA Baskteball Odds: Penn State at No 2 Kentucky

No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats continues its three-game stretch away from home with a game against Penn State Nittany Lions in the Hall of Fame Tip-Off Tournament. The winner of this game faces the winner of the Old Dominion-South Florida matchup.

The Wildcats have used a balanced attack to win their first two games against Marist and Kansas, with five players scoring in double figures in both victories. Penn State is off to its second straight 3-0 start, but the Nittany Lions have posted only four such starts in the last 12 seasons.

The Wildcats have opened as 18.5-point favorites on SBG Global Sportsbook’s Live NCAA Basketball Odds.

Penn State Nittany Lions (3-0): Junior guard Tim Frazier leads the Big Ten in scoring (20.7), assists (8.7) and steals (3.3). Frazier posted back-to-back double-doubles in the Nittany Lions’ previous two victories over Long Island and Radford. In the win over Long Island, Frazier had a career-high 26 points and 10 assists, and that followed a 20-point, 10-assist performance in the win against Radford. Senior guard Cammeron Woodyard is the only other Penn State player who scores in double figures, averaging 11 points and 6.7 rebounds.

Kentucky Wildcats (2-0): The talented Wildcats broke away from Kansas at Madison Square Garden in the second half to win 75-65. All five starters are scoring in double figures for Kentucky, considered by many to be one of the favorites to win the national title this season. Anthony Davis leads the way with 18.5 points per game, and the lanky freshman forward also had seven blocks in the victory over the Jayhawks. Sophomore Doron Lamb had a team-high 17 points in that game, connecting on 3-of-5 3-pointers.
