Final Four Predictions: Potentially Final 4 Matchups

Making Final Four predictions is right around the corner here at BetUS Sportsbook, and with the plethora of upsets that have occurred in this tournament, there are a lot of awkward matchups that really could be on the horizon. Check out some of the strangest that could be in the cards for next Saturday in Houston!

Butler Bulldogs vs. Richmond Spiders OR VCU Rams - Can you picture two mid major teams fighting it out to make it to the National Championship Game? The Bulldogs are already just one step away in the Elite 8, and both VCU and Richmond can take those second to last steps to Houston on Friday night when they meet each other in the regional semis. It was bad enough for CBS that we had to keep watching Butler last season. Though we all love a good Cinderella story, we really don't want to see teams like that winning championships generally. Seeing Butler be favored to get there would be a totally different type of story, though, and it would be one full of intrigue against either of these teams for sure.

Florida State Seminoles vs. Florida Gators - The Southeast and Southwest Brackets could both be sending teams up for Final Four predictions from the Sunshine State. Again, this might not be the greatest thing in the world in terms of ratings for television, but these two teams really go at it with one another every single season during the weekend of the UF/FSU football game as well.

Chandler Parsons, who was originally a soft verbal commitment to Florida State, would love to end the Noles' campaign in his senior season, while that extra time would likely give Chris Singleton, who was also recruited heavily by Florida, a chance to heal up to get back on the court. If you think the annual football game is a great rivalry, wait til you see how this showdown would play out next week if it were to happen!

Marquette Golden Eagles vs. Connecticut Huskies - Okay, so we're not really salivating at the idea of these two Big East teams playing each other, but it would be awfully strange to know that the winner of this one would have put away two teams from its own conference on the road to the National Championship Game. This would be the third meeting of the year between these two teams, and both have been able to get one up on the other's home court. Obviously, the neutral court in Houston wouldn't do anything in terms of giving one a home court edge over the other, but making Final Four predictions in this one would be a heck of a task, knowing that both teams are built awfully similarly. It would be strange to think that a conference full of teams like Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Notre Dame, etc., would only have Marquette and UConn left standing when the dust settled on the tourney, but it would make for a simply fantastic Final Four showdown.
